Two seasonal concerts share the same evening. Choose the setting your child can comfortably enjoy, and leave the rest of the night simple.

Library: shorter, indoors and for ages four and up

Monstrous Melodies runs October 29 from 6:30–7:30 PM at Rockwall County Library, 1215 E Yellow Jacket Lane. A Plano Symphony brass trio presents an approximately 45-minute seasonal musical adventure. Costumes are optional. No admission charge or registration requirement is listed on the calendar.

Harbor: a free outdoor orchestra

The Rockwall Philharmonic presents Spooky Nights & Pumpkin Lights at 7 PM on October 29 at the Harbor Amphitheater, 2059 Summer Lee Drive. Admission is free. Bring a chair and check the City’s weather decision after 6 PM before traveling.

Pick one, with an easy exit

Choose the library for a more predictable indoor outing. Choose the Harbor if your child enjoys outdoor music and can manage a later evening. Hearing protection can help sound-sensitive children. Sit where leaving is easy, and do not attempt both concerts just because they are nearby.

The right concert is the one that fits your child’s age, energy and bedtime—not the one that fills the calendar.
